There are a lot of different tools on the market that are used in car theft. Most of these tools open the mechanical car lock without damaging the lock.
Time for us to test what kind of forensic traces are left in the lock. We tested a wide range of opening tools on some popular car locks. This allowed us to collect traces for various Lishi and Goso tools as well as the Prodecoder mini, Turbo Decoder, Supertool, Little Joe and many more.
We are still analyzing the data we collected. The results will be shared with FIOPS members and interested crime labs.
